This series is about climate change and the impact it has on different spheres in our lives. After hearing from 20-year-old climate activist Xiuhtezcatl Martinez on MLK day, I was inspired to use my own creative medium to address our current climate crisis within different geographical regions, transitioning from the micro to the macro. This three-part series includes posters on rising sea levels in San Francisco, the increasing risk of California wildfires, and ocean acidification across the globe. It is easy at times to separate ourselves from events that seem distant or unimportant, so I wanted to call attention the ways in which the spaces we occupy are affected and how they affect us.
